Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming mega project Jawan created a frenzy ever since its announcement. Featuring SRK in a dual role alongside Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra and Deepika Padukone, the film’s shooting commenced in September last year.
A few days back, it was reported that Vijay Sethupathi has been cast to play the protagonist in Jawan. And from what we hear now, Shah Rukh Khan will be shooting an intense action sequence for the film in Chennai this week.
For the shooting, an elaborate set has been put up and director Atlee himself has crowdsourced 200-250 women management officers in Mumbai who will fly down to Chennai for the shoot.
As per reports, the fight sequence will be shot over seven days after which SRK will shoot for other crucial portions for the next three weeks.
Produced by Gauri Khan under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment, Jawan will be filmed in Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and Chennai. The film marks the Bollywood debut of Nayanthara. Rana Daggubati was offered the antagonist role but he declined citing health issues and thus the role went to Vijay Sethupathi.
Interestingly, Deepika Padukone has been cast for a flashback role as SRK's wife in the film.
Jawan is set to be released on 2 June 2023. In addition, the film will be dubbed and released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages.
