Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt has announced the launch of his own production house, Three Dimension Motion Pictures, hoping to bring back the golden age of heroism to the industry by bankrolling larger-than-life films, which were quite popular in the 80s and 90s. The 62-year-old started his acting career with the 1981 film Rocky, directed by his father Sunil Dutt.
Talking to an international publication, Dutt said, “When we entered the film industry, we started off with heroism, the heroic roles, the mass love, and everything, and I just saw that stopping. And I am trying to revive that.”
Three Dimension Motion Pictures has already announced its upcoming production, a horror-comedy The Virgin Tree. The film will be directed by Sidhant Sachdev. It will star four newcomers. The titles of the remaining films are yet to be finalised, but they will include family entertainers and action films. All films are being made for theatrical release.
Meanwhile, Sanjay Dutt is waiting for the theatrical release of his much-anticipated film KGF Chapter 2. Also starring Kannada superstar Yash and Bollywood diva Raveena Tandon in important roles, the period action film is set to enter theatres on April 14, 2022.
