Fatima Sana Shaikh who most recently appeared in the anthology Modern Love Mumbai (2022), has begun preparing for the upcoming film Sam Bahadur. Vicky Kaushal and Sanya Malhotra will also star alongside her in Meghna Gulzar's film. She will play Indira Gandhi, India's first female prime minister, in the film, which is based on the biography of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw.
The Dangal (2016) actress shared a picture of her preparation for the film with director Meghna Gulzar on Instagram on Friday. She can be seen in the picture wearing a white shirt and denim jeans. She is additionally spotted sporting nerdy glasses. She can be seen having an in-depth discussion with her director. Sharing the picture, Shaikh captioned, "Sinking my teeth in #SamBahadur meghnagulzar."
Fatima has previously stated that she reads a lot of information about Indira Gandhi and watches her interviews. She continued by saying that even if none of this will be seen on television, it is still fascinating to learn about famous people who have shaped history.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Fatima Sana Shaikh was seen in the Amazon Prime anthology Modern Love Mumbai. She received accolades for her character Raat Rani. Apart from Sam Bahadur, she will also be seen in Taapsee Pannu’s maiden production Dhak Dhak alongside Dia Mirza , Ratna Pathak and Sanjana Sanghi.
