Salman Khan's legal woes don't seem to be going away any time soon. The actor's identity is involved in yet another legal concern within the ongoing Panvel farmhouse and blackbuck case. In a journalist phone snatching incident that occurred in 2019, the Andheri Magistrate court summoned Salman Khan today, on 5 April.

Salman Khan and his bodyguard Nawaz Shaikh were summoned by a civil court last month and ordered to appear before it on April 5.

Journalist Ashok Pandey filed a private complaint in the magistrate's court, requesting that criminal charges be brought against Salman Khan and Shaikh.

Pandey claimed that while cycling down a Mumbai street, the actor snatched his phone after some journalists began photographing him. According to Pandey's complaint, the actor allegedly got into a fight with him and threatened him.

In his petition, the Dabangg (2012) actor asks the high court to nullify the lower court's order-issuing process and to stay the procedure (summons) as a matter of temporary relief.

The actor went to the Bombay High Court to challenge the summons that were issued to him because he was supposed to appear at the Metropolitan Magistrate court in Andheri, Mumbai. Salman and his bodyguard Nawaz Shaikh have been summoned in connection with the journalist's allegation filed in 2019.

According to a report, the situation is being handled by the city's DN Nagar Police Station. In addition, a police official has filed a report that states, "He has reported that on the day of incident, a dispute took place between complainant and proposed accused persons (Khan and Shaikh). The investigating officer has quoted that offences under section 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 506 (criminal intimidation) of IPC have been made out against accused persons," RR Khan, the Magistrate, had made a point.

The actor was then summoned by the Metropolitan Magistrate Court, prompting Salman Khan to file a case with the Bombay High Court. Salman's plea is likely to be considered later in the day, according to reports.
