On Vinod Khanna's birth anniversary, veteran actress Saira Banu took to Instagram to share some interesting anecdotes about the late actor.
Banu wrote that Khanna loved her late husband Dilip Kumar "incredibly." She also recalled how Khanna "absconded" when they had to do a rehearsal for a film called Aarop, because he was too shy to act in front of Dilip Kumar.
In another anecdote, Banu shared how Khanna offered to drive her home in his Volkswagen car when her own car was not available. She wrote that he was a "chivalrous man."
Khanna was one of the highest-paid actors in the 1970s and starred in several popular films, including 'Amar Akbar Anthony,' 'Achanak', 'Mera Gaon Mera Desh,' 'Wanted,' and 'Dabangg'. He later quit acting and became a disciple of Osho Rajnish. Khanna also joined politics and served as an MP and a Union Minister. He passed away in 2017 at the age of 70.
Banu's post is a heartwarming tribute to a talented actor and a kind person.
