Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani: Ranveer Singh’s Character Was Designed As A Male Version Of Kareena Kapoor Khan’s ‘Poo’ And ‘Geet’!

‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt has been generating a massive response from the movie lovers and the box office too. The movie aims at breaking stereotypes while keeping the family and Indian cultural values intact.

After making some really interesting concepts such as ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ starring Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in the leading roles, ‘Rocky And Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ aimed at making a film around modern values.

In an interview with a media portal, it was mentioned that Karan Johar wanted to make a film where Rocky was introduced as a male version of Kareena Kapoor Khan’s characters – Poo and Geet, from the films ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum’ and ‘Jab We Met’ respectively.

In the interview writer Ishita Moitra also mentioned that Rani’s character was designed as a feisty girl. Moitra also mentioned in the interview that the film questions norms in a fun way.
