Parveen Babi's life has been nothing short of a movie in and of itself. Her 68th birthday is on April 4th, 2022. She was regarded as one of the most popular actresses of her era. For her stylish personality and attractiveness, the actress was idolised. Her appearance wowed the crowd, and she delivered some remarkable performances throughout her time in Bollywood. Parveen's life has been a wild roller coaster ride, from being one of the highest-paid and most popular actresses of her time to being diagnosed with schizophrenia.

Parveen made her acting debut in the 1973 film Charitra, and became an instant star. Deewaar (1975), Amar Akbar Anthony (1977), Suhaag (1979), Kaala Patthar (1979), The Burning Train (1980), Shaan (1980), Kaalia (1981), and Namak Halaal (1981) were among her many hits throughout the years.

She was cast as a free-spirited working girl in Yash Chopra's Deewaar, smoking, drinking, and sleeping with her boyfriend, violating every stereotype of a Hindi cinema heroine. Parveen Babi's crowning achievement came in 1976, when she was chosen to represent the new face of Hindi cinema on the cover of Time magazine.

Then, all of a sudden, everything went wrong for this rebellious young lady. Parveen began to lose her sanity, according to her close pals. Parveen, on the other hand, abruptly departed from show business in 1983, at the peak of her career. She afterwards went on a spiritual trip,' according to reports. The actress was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia when she returned to Mumbai in 1989, according to sources. She was unrecognisable, inaccessible, and unintelligible this time.

She, on the other hand, Babi dismissed the allegations, claiming that she was being labelled schizophrenic as part of a plot by the film business and the media to tarnish her reputation.

Parveen was discovered dead at her home in January 2005 after her neighbours noted she hadn't picked up the newspaper or groceries from her door for quite some time. Her left foot was discovered to develop gangrene, a result of her diabetes condition. According to post-mortem studies, no signs of food were detected in her stomach, suggesting that she died of dehydration.
