Ever since its inception, Salman Khan's upcoming film Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali has been in the news for one reason or the other. Buzz around the film simply refuses to die down. First it was producer Sajid Nadiadwala quitting the project. Later, the news of Aayush Sharma's exit was making headlines. There was also a rumour about director Farhad Samji missing from the sets and Salman Khan ghost directing the film.
And from what we learn now, the name of the film has been changed to Bhaijaan by none other than Salman himself. While shooting for the project is underway in Mumbai, a source close to the project revealed that the film has been renamed owing to a very important reason.
“The shooting of Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali started started on Salman’s farm on the outskirts of Mumbai last month. Now, the title of the film has been changed to a shorter Bhaijaan. The reason behind this is the fact that Bhaijaan is the affectionate name used for Salman. In fact, Bhaijaan was the title Salman wanted for this project- a family saga of patriarchal family where the eldest son lords over the rest of the family,” the source said.
Talking further, the same source added, “Salman’s role in the film is similar to the one he plays in real life in his own family. Salman Khan, in all his wisdom, has decided to eponymously name the film after his own character.”
Coming to the project, the film is directed by Farhad Samji and produced by Salman Khan Films. Starring Salman Khan, Pooja Hegde, and Venkatesh, the movie is slated to release on 30 December 2022.
