Tiger Shroff, who made his Bollywood debut in 2014 with Heropanti, has established himself as a prominent Bollywood action hero. The actor is working on a number of exciting projects, including a Hindi adaptation of the Hollywood classic Rambo (1982). His fans are eagerly anticipating his portrayal of Sylvester Stallone in the film.
The remake was announced in 2017, along with the first poster featuring Tiger as Rambo. However, the film has been delayed for a variety of reasons. While everyone is excited about the adaptation, Ranveer Singh has stated that he was unhappy with Rambo's casting.
Currently busy promoting his upcoming social comedy, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Singh recently spoke about Rambo in an interview, revealing that he was disappointed when Tiger was offered the role instead of him.
He said, "Before becoming an actor, I wanted to become a hero. I used to watch movies like that too - where the guys were shirtless. I loved films like Rambo, Rocky, and Commando - these are my heroes! This is what I wanted. So I was very upset when Tiger (Shroff) said he wanted to do Rambo. I was like 'ye to mujhe karna tha. (I wanted to do this)' That's my default".
For those unfamiliar with Stallone's Rambo, the film is set during the Vietnam War and follows John Rambo, a Vietnam veteran.
