The much-awaited film ‘Brahmastra’ headlined by Bollywood’s favourite couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, met its release on the 9th of September. The film ideation was done nearly a decade ago. Yet the shoot only commenced in 2017. After several obstacles and delays, the film was released after five years. In a recent interview, Ranbir spoke about hiding the truth about shooting for ‘Brahmastra’.

Ranbir Kapoor about working on ‘Brahmastra’

In a press conference held in Delhi, the A-lister spoke about reaching a point of hiding the truth about working on this film. He would tell people he was working on two other films instead. Ranbir explained, “Nobody really understood what it takes to make a film like this because nobody had really done this, especially in the people that we know.”

Ranbir Kapoor on Ayan Mukerji

Ranbir further shared that Ayan has been ‘instrumental’ while working together. He shared, “Going forward, you can’t tell. We are just artists. The kind of opportunities that come to you, you have to choose from that. But having said that, I want to go back to what I said first. That it’s really been an honour and privilege to be part of this movie and more so to really interact with a filmmaker like Ayan. He is really instrumental in my growth as an actor at least.”

Ranbir also spoke about how in 2008 when narrating the script of ‘Wake Up Sid’ Ayan Mukerji took five hours. He had then appreciated the passion Ayan had.
