Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for his two major films, Shamshera and Brahmastra. After a lengthy hiatus of four years, fans are eager to see him on-screen again as they last saw him in the 2018 biopic Sanju. While promoting for his forthcoming movie Shamshera, the actor recently appeared on an entertainment website for a brief Q&A session. He revealed many details throughout this, including his favorite co-star. And no, it’s not Alia Bhatt!
Ranbir was questioned about his favourite co-star in a recent interview. In response, he gave the name of Saurabh Shukla, with whom he has previously appeared in the movies Barfi (2012), Jagga Jasoos (2017), and the soon-to-be-released Shamshera. If Ranbir had to choose a favourite actress, he said, it would be Anushka Sharma. “We’re really close friends and we annoy each other a lot, we keep fighting. We have good creative energy,” said the actor.
For the unversed, Ranbir and Anushka have starred together onscreen in movies like Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016), Bombay Velvet (2015), and Sanju (2018).
Sharma and Kapoor both have intriguing projects waiting in the works. Currently, Anushka is filming Chakda 'Xpress, in which she will play the former Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami. After a four-year absence, she will return to acting.
On the other hand, Ranbir's upcoming film Shamshera, a period actioner directed by Karan Malhotra, will be released in theatres on July 22.
