Bollywood stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are expecting their first child together. A few days back, rumours were rife that Alia is expecting twins and the news took the internet by storm. Ranbir Kapoor, who is promoting his upcoming period drama Shamshera, recently addressed the rumours at a press conference.
Ranbir is presently promoting his upcoming film Shamshera, which will hit theatres on July 22. On Monday, as the film was being promoted in Delhi, the actor was questioned about the rumour that he was the father of twins. He replied, “Don’t create controversy. They asked me to state three things: two truths and a lie. Now I can’t reveal what is the truth, and what is the lie.”
It was Kapoor himself who started the rumour in the first place when he said two truths and a lie in an interview. He stated, “I am having twins, I am going to be part of a very big mythological film, I am taking a long break from work."
For the first time in four years, Ranbir will get a theatrical release. Ranbir plays two roles in Shamshera, which serves as his comeback movie. It takes place in the made-up city of Kaza, where a brutal authoritarian commander named Shuddh Singh (Sanjay Dutt) imprisons, enslaves, and tortures a warrior tribe. It is slated to release on July 22.
