His upcoming ventures look very promising and exciting. As he gears up for the release of his next film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar with Shraddha Kapoor, there have been reports that he is doing a biopic on the life of former Indian cricketer, Sourav Ganguly. The actor and former Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly were spotted together yesterday while Ranbir was promoting his film. Their fans couldn't contain their excitement after seeing photos of them playing cricket together on social media.
Ranbir may be seen in the pictures surfaced sporting an all-black outfit with the phrase "Ranbir's Makkaar" inscribed over it. On the back of his t-shirt are printed "RK" and the number 8. However, the former cricketer can be seen donning a white t-shirt with the words "Dada's Jhoothi" printed on it. On the back of him are printed the words "Ganguly" and the number 99.
Ranbir, who previously acted in Sanjay Dutt's biopic Sanju, announced during a press conference that he is currently filming the life story of the late actor-singer Kishore Kumar. He also spoke about doing Sourav Ganguly’s biography.
Ranbir stated this in relation to the Sourav Ganguly biopic: "I think dada (Sourav Ganguly) is a living icon not just in India but around the world. A biography of him would be incredibly unique. Sorry, there is no movie offer at this time (I have not been offered this film). I believe the script is still being written by the Love Films producers.
The romantic comedy which will also see Boney Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia in major roles is slated to hit the silver screens on March 8th.
