Ranbir Kapoor is back in action following a four-year hiatus. His upcoming films Shamshera and Brahmastra, starring his wife Alia Bhatt, are all over the headlines. In the midst of all, a previous interview between the actor and Anushka Sharma is going viral on social media and it has enraged people.
The video, which was reportedly taken down from Reddit and is currently doing the rounds on Twitter, features Ranbir Kapoor making jokes about Anushka Sharma's anxiety. He referred to her as the "queen of anxiety" and made fun of the fact that she was taking medicine for it. He says that she even needs to take medicines in order to talk. He was quoted saying in the video, "She takes anti-anxiety pills even if she has to have a conversation because she is frantic."
She has a mental illness, dental issues, and hygiene issues, yet we still accept her, he jokes afterwards. He receives a "horrible person" label from Anushka for doing this, and she subsequently responds by claiming he "takes drugs."
A Twitter user wrote, "This is sick... making fun of her medical condition."
Earlier, Ranbir Kapoor came under attack online for referring to his wife Alia Bhatt as "Dal chawal" at the Shamshera trailer launch. And before Alia, he had referred to his ex-girlfriend, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone by the same phrase.
