Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will soon be seen on the big screen with the much anticipated Ayan Mukerji directorial ‘Brahmastra: Part One– Shiva’ on the 9th of September. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni and will hit theatres in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
Ranbir and Alia’s interview
Before the release of the film, the two leads have been busy with promotions. In a recent interview, Ranbir said, “Brahmāstra has been part of our DNA now. It’s been five years. Ayan, Alia, and me are also really close friends, so on every occasion in our lives, if it’s a birthday, if it’s Diwali, if it’s Christmas, if it’s our marriage, we were always talking about Brahmastra." This film is Ranbir’s third collaboration with director Ayan Mukerji. They worked together on ‘Wake Up Sid’ (2009) and ’Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ (2013).
Secrets revealed?
Ranbir and Alia were asked in conversation if they could share anything about the sequel ‘Brahmastra Part 2’. Ranbir said, "There are a lot of things that Ayan has hidden from us also. Big plot points because he thinks we are loudmouths and we're gonna go and tell everybody."
About the film
The film ‘Brahmastra’ has been in the works for nearly a decade. It also had five years of production. The film is one of the most expensive films in India to date. The budget alone is over Rs.400 crore.
