Ramayan: KGF Star Yash REJECTED The Role Of RAAVAN In The Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt Starrer; Here's Why...

'Ramayan,' directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is one of the most anticipated upcoming Bollywood films. The movie has been put on hold for a while, but now the creators are working on it. Real-life couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will play Lord Ram and Sita, while Yash will play Raavan, it was recently announced. The KGF actor, who was eager to star opposite Ranbir in the landmark film, has suddenly chosen not to take the part.

Bollywood is gearing up for yet another such production following 'Adipurush,' the epic Ramayan-based mythological drama starring Prabhas and Kriti Sanon. The title of the new film is taken directly from the mythological book that describes Lord Ram's 14 years of exile and how he saved Sita from Raavan. The character of Raavan in the film was offered to Yash, a superstar throughout India. According to a person familiar with the situation, the actor has declined to take on the previously mentioned role in Nitesh Tiwari's ‘Ramayan’ adaptation.

The actor Yash, who has a sizable fan base, shot to fame when he played Rocky Bhai in 'KGF.' The actor was cautioned to be extremely sensitive to the feelings of his followers. He said, “They are very emotional and they tend to overreact when I go against their will.”

Yash is very considerate of his followers, therefore even if this role has a lot of potential to impact them negatively, he would rather decline it than accept it.
