Popular Indian actor R Madhavan is a proud father as his son Vedaant has won silver for India at The Danish open in Copenhagen. Vedaant clocked 15.57.86 to finish second in the 10-swimmer final.
The actor took to his Twitter handle to share the news along with pictures.

While Vedaant scooped a silver medal for India, Sajan Prakash won the gold medal. He hails from the Idukki district of Kerala and is specialised in freestyle, butterfly and medley events.
On Instagram, Madhavan shared a clip as Vedaant’s name was announced for the silver medal. Sharing the clip, the actor wrote, “ vedaantmadhavan wins silver for India at the Danish Open in Copenhagen. Thank you so much Pradeep sir, #swimmingfederationofindia, and #ansadxb for all your efforts. We are so proud.”
Filmmaker Aanand L Rai, who directed Madhavan in the Tanu Weds Manu franchise, said, "So proud of you Vedaant.”
Shilpa Shirodkar commented, "Many, many congratulations to all of you and a special, special wish to our little big boy vedaantmadhavan.”
Meanwhile, R Madhavan is gearing up for the release of his much-awaited film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. The film is set to release on July 1, 2022.
