Priyanka Chopra's HEARTBREAKING Confession About Going Home For Diwali After Father's Tragic Death!

Actress Priyanka Chopra recently talked about how hard it is to balance her busy schedule with her successful job and her family duties. She talked to Tiffany Reid at the Marshalls Good Stuff Social event about how society puts a lot of pressure on young people to have their lives completely sorted. When she thought about the past, she admitted that she sometimes forgot to call her mother or wish her a happy birthday. She had a very different view, though, after her father's serious health problem.

Priyanka Chopra On Importance Of Time

The actress from 'The Citadel' said that when her father got sick, her view of time changed in a big way. Ashok Chopra, Priyanka's dad, died in 2013 after a long battle with cancer. She thought about the mistakes she had made in the past and said, "I don't remember how many of my mother's birthdays I have forgotten or missed." How many times did I forget to call her when I was twenty-one? or how many times, like I missed Diwali because I work in Europe and they don't celebrate it there, so it's okay. I skipped and missed, and I didn't understand until I did."

Priyanka Chopra's Realizations During Hard Times

The effects of her father's illness and death made her see things in a very different way. "Until my dad died, I didn't get to spend another Diwali with him. It was a big deal when he got sick...That was a big moment for me because it made me understand that life is short and that we worry about too many small things when there are bigger things to worry about. That, she said, "I think brings you down to the ground."

Priyanka Chopra had a very close relationship with her late father, which is shown by the tattoo that says 'Daddy's little girl.' Concerns were raised when her mother, Madhu Chopra, had to go to the hospital for treatment of anaphylaxis. Madhu Chopra even shared a picture from the hospital after having an allergic reaction.

Chopra recently got back to the US. While she was in India for work, she made a big showing at the Jio MAMI Film Festival. She also took part in the opening of Jio World Plaza in Mumbai for a short time.
