Chopra has been in Uttar Pradesh for a while as part of her UNICEF-related responsibilities. The star, who serves as a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF, claimed to have seen a significant improvement in the situation of women and girls. She also mentioned how digitalization has benefited UP.

Priyanka traveled to Lucknow on behalf of UNICEF to observe the organization's efforts to prevent prejudice and violence against girls. She was observed interacting with children in several schools and Anganwadi centers.
