Ma Anand Sheela said in a recent interview on a YouTube Channel Dasata said that that she didn't know about the project based on her life that stars Priyanka Chopra and was directed by Barry Levinson. Instead, she said she liked Alia Bhatt because they looked a lot alike when they were kids.

Sheela made it clear that neither Priyanka nor the director had ever approached her regarding the biopic. She stressed that she had chosen Alia Bhatt and said that she had not given Priyanka permission to work on the project. She also said that she had sent her objections by email, which is a legal way to do things in Switzerland.
It is said that Ma Anand Sheela was born in India as Sheela Ambalal Patel. She is also known as Sheela Birnstiel and Sheela Silverman. She became well-known as the voice of the Rajneesh movement, which used to be called the Osho movement. She was found guilty of attempted murder and assault in 1986 for her role in the 1984 Rajneeshee bioterror attack.

On July 20, 2018, the YouTube channel posted a movie called 'Wild Wild Country: What happened to Sheela?' Priyanka Chopra was also chosen as Ma Anand Sheela in the Amazon Studios movie 'Sheela,' which was based on the documentary 'Wild Wild Country.' Sheela said she didn't like how Priyanka was playing her and asked that the project be canceled.
