Nagarjuna Akkineni, one of the most popular South Indian actors has established himself not only in South cinema but also in the Bollywood film industry thanks to his work in the film Brahmastra. The actor, who returned to the Hindi film industry after a 20-year absence, hasn't wavered in his unwavering commitment to enthrall the people with his acting prowess. His first appearance in a Hindi movie in nearly two decades was in Brahmastra as a guest star. The actor, who primarily performs in Telugu films, explained explanation of why he doesn't appear in many Bollywood films. He also explained why he turned down multiple "great" parts in Hindi movies over the years before deciding to work on Brahmastra.

Nagarjuna says he never went looking for roles in Bollywood, it came to him.

The actor said, "I was getting incredible roles. (But) I am kind of a home bird. I like to live in Hyderabad. I always did very special roles in Bollywood. Whatever I have done right from the beginning, it was important for me to entertain people. All the roles that I did came looking for me, I never (went for them)."

The 63-year-old star further added, "Here working in Bollywood, I look at it for experience and soul satisfaction as they call it, and doing roles which are not on my shoulders. It has always been like that.”

In addition to Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Shah Rukh Khan, Brahmastra also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and others. On September 9, the Ayan Mukerji-directed film was released in theatres. The movie has so far made more than Rs 300 crores internationally. Meanwhile, Praveen Sattaru's action thriller The Ghost, which stars Nagarjuna, is now in production.
