Laal Singh Chaddha, which was the much-awaited film of Aamir Khan has received huge hatred even before its release but even post release things haven’t changed for the film as its now being trolled for being bad adaptation of Oscar winning film Forrest Gump and not only that but performance of Aamir khan has also been questioned as he is regarded as Mr perfectionist but in film nothing close to that can be seen. Same thing can be seen happening with Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan as superstar gives back-to-back flops after Samrat Prithviraj and Bachchhan Paandey. Therefore, distributors and theatre chain owners have decided to bring back family entertainer JugJugg Jeeyo back into theatres realising its demand and no big release till Dharma productions Liger starring Vijay Devarakonda and Ananya Panday .
The announcement was made on Sunday by Karan Johar whose production house Dharma Productions bankrolled movie. Released in June 2022, it has already arrived on streaming platform Amazon Prime Video. However, it seems like with lesser demand of the two new big releases, theatre owners are adding either new shows for Ek Villain Returns or replacing them with JugJugg jeeyo.

While approximately 1300 shows of Laal Singh Chaddha have been reduced, Raksha Bandhan has seen a show reduction of 1000 shows across the country. Manoj Desai, executive director, G7 multiplex and Maratha Mandir Cinema said, “There’s no improvement whatsoever. I fail to understand what the public wants. Both films are of different genres and appeal to different kinds of audiences. And they star such big names. Yet, it’s not getting the desired footfalls.”
