Chhello Show, also known as Last Film Show, is the first movie from India to join the shortlist this time. It is vying for the award for Best International Feature Film against 14 other movies from around the globe. India's official entry for the Oscars in 2023 is Chhello Show, which defeated big favourites RRR and The Kashmir Files.
The RRR song Naatu Naatu was included on the shortlist for the Best Music (Original Song) category. The song has already been nominated internationally for awards such as the Golden Globes, Critics Choice Awards, and Hollywood Critics Association awards. When the song with Ram Charan and Jr. NTR was released, it instantly became viral in India, and now people all over the world are appreciating it. Through her social media, actress Alia Bhatt also praised this accomplishment.
All That Breathes and The Elephant Whisperers, two documentaries from India that were also shortlisted in the category of documentary feature film.
