Actor Shah Rukh Khan's security has been increased to the Y+ category by the Maharashtra government after he complained about allegedly receiving death threats.
The Y+ category security cover includes 11 security personnel, including six commandos, four police personnel, and a traffic clearance vehicle.
The decision to increase Shah Rukh's security comes months after security was increased around his home, Mannat, following protests against celebrities who endorsed online gaming apps.
In March this year, two men broke into Mannat premises by scaling the outer wall, but were apprehended by the security guards.
Shah Rukh was recently seen in the film 'Jawan', which has already minted over ₹1103 crore gross at the worldwide box office. He will be next seen in 'Dunki,' directed by Rajkumar Hirani, alongside Taapsee Pannu.
