The saying that what you do as a child shapes what you do as an adult is true, especially in the case of the Bollywood star Govinda. From 1986 to 2000, when his family was going through hard times financially, the now-59-year-old star shone brightly on the Bollywood scene. During the 1980s and 1990s, Govinda was one of the most successful movie stars because of how good he was at making people laugh.

The actor made his first movie in India in 1986. He was known for being funny and moving well. Over the course of nearly 15 years, Govinda made a string of blockbuster films. Films like 'Raja Babu,' 'Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan' were huge hits with viewers. Fans liked him because he was always happy, but there was one thing that broke this picture.

In 2008, Govinda lost his temper while shooting 'Money Hai Toh Honey Hai' at Filmistan studio in Goregaon. He hit a fan named Santosh Rai. This act of aggression, which was caused by Rai's appearance on set, got a lot of attention from the media and turned off a lot of fans. Govinda was a member of parliament at the time, which added to the complexity of the situation and gave it a political edge.

Later, in an interview, Govinda said that he fired Rai because of how he treated female dancers on the set of the movie. He said, "Yes, I did hit him. The guy was trying too hard to be friends with the girls. I felt like I had to speak up." A local group called the Maharashtra Minorities Front asked people to tell them where Govinda was. This made the situation worse. The actor did not feel supported by the cops or the government, which he blamed on harassment from the opposition.

In reaction, Santosh Rai took Govinda to court and asked him to say sorry. Rai was shocked to be hit by someone he thought of as God. He said, "Imagine being hit by someone you thought of as God." In 2016, Govinda apologised to Rai without any conditions and offered to pay him Rs 5 lakhs to make up for what he had done.
