Actor Akshay Kumar visited a theatre and spoke with the audience in a video released by the makers of Oh My God 2 (OMG 2) following the screening of his most recent movie. Akshay Kumar joked that OMG 2 received an A rating from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) after asking people about the movie and suggested that schools exhibit it. In the Friday-released film, Akshay plays a role that was influenced by Lord Shiva.

Akshay, who wore all-black, stated, “Kaisi lagi aap logo ko movie? Pehli adult film hai jo teenagers ke liye bani hai. Actually yeh sab schools mein dikhani chahiye, lekin aap sab entertain huye nah? Bahut acha laga, bahut-bahut shukriya aap log aye dekhne (How did you find the film? This is the first adult film that has been made specifically for teenagers. It should be actually shown in schools, but at least you all got entertained watching it. I am very happy you came to watch the film).”

According to a report from July, CBFC has taken 'preemptive measures' to prevent any backlash over words or sequences from the movie 'Oh My God.' After weeks of rumours that the filmmakers wanted a UA rating, which is unlimited but includes a parental discretion advice for children under 12, 'OMG 2' was recently given an A certificate.

According to earlier reports, the CBFC reviewed 'OMG 2' with extreme caution due to the post-release criticism that 'Adipurush' received. After its release in June, Om Raut's 'Adipurush' was dogged by controversy. The movie, which starred Prabhas as Raghava, Kriti as Janaki, Sunny Singh as Laxman, and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh, drew flak for the dialogue, the clothes, and the ‘cartoon-like graphics’ it employed.

'OMG 2' is a sequel to Umesh Shukla's 2012 film 'OMG - Oh My God,' which starred Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal. In the Amit Rai-produced film 'OMG 2,' Pankaj Tripathi plays Kanti Sharan Mudgal, a devout follower of Shiva who accuses the school system of misleading his child.
