If you come across an unsubstantiated video of Kartik Aaryan endorsing Congress candidate Kamal Nath in the forthcoming Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, pause and rewind. In an unexpected turn of events, Kartik Aaryan found himself promoting a candidate he had never heard of. A video of the ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ actor praising a Congress electoral campaign in the state of Madhya Pradesh went viral. The footage clearly puzzled his crew and followers. While sources close to the actor claimed that the video was modified, Kartik turned to social media to show the actual video in which he is seen supporting an OTT streaming company.
Soon after the film went viral, insiders close to the actor were quick to point out the obvious use of editing and disclose about the existing ad campaign was being transformed and incorrectly utilised by others for their own purposes. "There is a morphed version of a Kartik Aaryan ad floating on social media that the actor did for a streaming platform," the insider said. “The film is deceptive and malicious, and it is being used to assert the actor's political sympathies. Kartik is not affiliated with any political organisation."

The source also mentioned how the video was ingeniously altered and modified to appear thus, despite the fact that it was recorded and presented as a commercial for a top OTT Platform.
Not only that, but Kartik Aaryn turned to the social networking platform X, formerly known as Twitter, and republished the original promo in which he appeared as a brand ambassador for Disney+ Hotstar.

For the uninitiated, Kartik appeared in a promo film for a top OTT platform promoting the platform's free availability of the ICC Men's World Cup on mobile phones, which was launched approximately a month ago. Later, on October 30, the same video reappeared on social media, but with dubbed audio and a modified video that appeared to show Kartik endorsing a political party for the impending Madhya Pradesh elections. The footage was uploaded by an unidentified Congress party member.
