Nimrat Kaur: I tend to not worry about things that are beyond me
Actress Nimrat Kaur has always impressed critics and audiences alike with her versatile performances. Despite a successful track record, however, we do not see her more often in films.
The actress is currently basking in the success of her latest film Dasvi (2022), co-starring Abhishek Bachchan and Yami Gautam. Before Dasvi, she was seen in Airlift (2016) alongside superstar Akshay Kumar.
Talking about her hiatus from Bollywood, Kaur told a publication that after the release of Airlift, she flew abroad to work on her American TV show Wayward Pines.
She said, “I have not consciously stayed away from Bollywood) films. I genuinely wanted to work on more projects."
The actress added that she could not do more films in Hindi as things did not fall into place.
“There are a host of variables that you can’t control. I tend to not worry about things that are beyond me, and thankfully, that’s a part of my nature,” she added.
The actress continued, “No matter how much time it takes, there will always be a space in the audience’s mind for me. I hear things like ‘they want to see more of me’, and that’s very encouraging. It’s the ‘absence makes the heart grow fonder’ kind of thing.”
