Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra welcome their first baby via surrogacy; Katrina Kaif, Bhumi Pednekar congratulate
Priyanka Chopra-Jonas is a global star who has an enormous presence in Bollywood and Hollywood. In 2018, she married American singer Nick Jonas. Yesterday (January 21st), she announced that they had welcomed their first child into this world through surrogacy.
Talking about the same, Priyanka shared an Instagram post tagging Nick Jonas and wrote, "We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much.” Priyanka also requested privacy at this special time. Nick Jonas also shared the same post on social media.
When asked about starting a family with Nick, Priyanka in a previous interview with Oprah Winfrey had said, "You know, you want to make God laugh and tell her your plans, and I am not the one who makes those plans, but yes absolutely, whenever it’s the right time, it’s something that we definitely want."
Priyanka Chopra has graced the cover page of the January issue of Vanity Fair magazine. In an interview with them, she also spoke about starting a family. She had said, "They (kids) are a big part of our desire for the future. By God’s grace, when it happens, it happens. I’m okay with that. We’re both okay with that."
Many celebrities including Katrina Kaif, Bhumi Pednekar and Pooja Hegde commented ‘congratulations’ on the post, while organizations like Amazon Prime Video and Filmfare also congratulated the couple.
