Kriti Sanon is one of the most prominent name and an exceptional talent in the Indian Cinema. The leading actress has paved a long way in her journey ever since this outsider made her impressive debut in the industry 9 years ago. The actress has proved her mettle and today she is the proud owner of 69th National Award which she won for her phenomenal performance in 'Mimi'.

The actress is receiving unanimous love from the masses and the big names of the industry and one among them is the Icon Star Allu Arjun, who also won the 69th National Award in the category for Best Actor for his phenomenal success 'Pushpa : The Rise'. The Pan India Superstar took to his social media account and congratulated the 'Mimi' actress on winning National Award and he wrote,

'Mimi' has etched its place as an iconic film in Indian cinema, especially the exceptional performance of Kriti Sanon in the titular role made the film more amazing. Be it the dance number Param Sundari, where Kriti Sanon demonstrates her bold and upfront personality or her well portrayed character arc in the film.

She left no stone unturned in her prep for the film and had also gained 15 kgs to play a surrogate mother and to bring the authenticity to the performance, she even faced quite the challenge when she had to lose all the weight while moving on to her next projects. She got trained for her dialect and truly morphed herself in to the skin of 'Mimi.'

Kriti shared the Best Actress award with Alia Bhatt who won for Gangubai Kathiawadi. The two actresses have been ruling the industry for a while now, and continue to be two of the biggest actresses in the Indian entertainment industry currently. Today, this win for the actresses is even bigger, considering both of them solely led their respective films and showed the power that female in cinema have today.
