Actress Mrunal Thakur, who is known for such notable films as Super 30 (2019), Batla House (2019), and Toofaan (2021), has tested positive for COVID-19. The actress took to her Instagram handle to announce her diagnosis. In her statement, she wrote that she has been in self-isolation after testing positive for the virus.

The actress urged everyone to stay safe amid the sudden surge in coronavirus cases. “I have tested positive for COVID-19. As of today, I have mild symptoms, but I am feeling ok and have isolated myself. I am following the protocol given by my doctor and health professionals. If you have been in contact with me, request you to please get tested immediately. Stay safe everyone!” she wrote.

On the work front, Mrunal Thakur next will be seen in the much-awaited sports drama Jersey, co-starring Shahid Kapoor. The film was scheduled to arrive in cinemas on December 31, 2021. However, the sudden spike in coronavirus cases and subsequent closure of cinema halls in a few states across India forced the makers to postpone its release. They are yet to decide on the new release date for the film.

Apart from Jersey, Thakur will also be seen in Aankh MicholiPippa, and the official remake of the successful Tamil film Thadam (2019). All projects are at various stages of development.
