One of the 80s' most adored Bollywood stars was seasoned actor Mithun Chakraborty, also known as Mitun Da. The Disco Dancer (1982) actor has been in the Hindi cinema industry for many years and has starred in more than 370 movies. Many people have found encouragement in his quest toward becoming the nation's cherished "Dada." But few are aware that Mithun Da has experienced his fair share of hardships.

The former actor-turned-politician prefers to talk about his successes rather than the challenging times in his life. But Mithun Chakraborty talked about the same in a recent interview. He admitted that he was going through such a difficult period that he even thought about committing suicide. The dancing star eventually triumphed and understood that he was a "born fighter."

In a recent interview, Mithun Da was quoted saying, "I generally don't talk much about this, and also there's no particular phrase I want to mention. Let’s not talk about those struggling days since it might demotivate aspiring artists."

" Everyone goes through struggles, but mine was so much. Sometimes I used to think I won't be able to achieve my goals, I even thought of committing suicide. I couldn't even return to Kolkata due to some reasons,” added the actor.

On the professional front, Mithun Chakraborty is now working on his upcoming Bengali movie Projapoti.
