Manike by Nora Fatehi, which Sidharth Malhotra refers to as the main track in Thank God, is not ‘simply an item song,’ he says

The song Manike from actor Sidharth Malhotra's most recent film, Thank God, has been described as the leading song and not "simply an item song." Sidharth responded to the conflict In a recent interview, the song received mixed comments. He stated that "it's not fair to see one snippet and criticize an entire film" and mentioned that the movie was dealing with legal difficulties.

Manike is a remake version of the popular song Manika Mage Hithe from 2021, performed by Sri Lankan singers Yohani and Jubin Nautiyal.

Yohani will make her singing debut with the Hindi version of her smash song, which the Thank God team announced last year. Nora Fatehi and Sidharth are featured in the music.

It's the film's theme tune, Sidharth stated in an interview.

Nora (Fatehi) performs an intriguing role; she is not only there for the song. Instead of being a simple item song, it is very well incorporated into the narrative. We're pleased that folks find it appealing. While Nora and I have performed several songs together in the past, Manike marks the first occasion I've danced with her. We also sang a song in Marjaavaan (Ek Toh Kum Zindagani) when I was purely watching her perform. I had previously promised her that I would make sure to include some dances the next time we performed a song, and that is precisely what we did with Manike.

Additionally, Sidharth stated, "When reading a script, you are focusing on the narrative. Sometimes I think judging a complete movie on a single scene is unfair. Don't judge a book by its cover, they say. I'm waiting for folks to see the entire two hours of the movie before discussing the motivations behind each character's statements. They can then determine what we did, the tone, and our objective. That is the proper standard for film evaluation.

About the Movie Thank God

The movie, directed by Indra Kumar, features Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh as its main actors. The film hit theatres on Tuesday and made 8.10 crore on its first day of business in India.
