Malaika Arora, who was injured in a car accident last week, is healing, and she wrote a lengthy statement on Saturday thanking her fans, the physicians who treated her, her staff, and her friends and family. Last Saturday, while returning from a fashion show in Pune, the actress was involved in an accident. She was taken to a Mumbai hospital after suffering minor injuries to her forehead. After a few days, she was discharged.

Malaika posted a picture of herself looking out the window and penned a note that read, "The last few days and the events that unfolded have been quite unbelievable. Thinking about it in retrospect feels like a scene from a film and not something that actually happened. Thankfully, immediately after the accident, I felt like I was enveloped with the care from so many guardian angels - be it my staff, the people who helped me reach the hospital, my family who stood by me throughout this ordeal and the amazing hospital staff."

She added, “A big heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you for being there making sure I come out of this with renewed vigour. I’m now on my road to recovery and I assure you, I’m a fighter and I’ll be back before you know it!”

Malaika’s friends from the industry took to comments to send love to her. Actress Dia Mirza wrote in the comments, ‘So grateful you are okay! Lots of love and a big hug,’ Kareena Kapoor dropped a bunch of strong arm emoticons. "Braveheart," wrote Sanjay Kapoor, who had visited the actress the day before. Karan Johar wrote, “Malla.” Many others expressed their best wishes for Malaika Arora's quick recovery.
