Laal Singh Chaddha (2022), the most recent film starring Aamir Khan, hasn't performed as well as anticipated at the box office. With a large studio behind it and being Aamir's first release in four years, there was high expectation for the film's box office performance. The film's earnings, however, have been fairly modest in the four days after its debut.

Recent reports also stated that certain distributors had requested reimbursement from the makers in light of losses they allegedly sustained. The film's production company has now responded to these reports.

CEO of Viacom 18, Ajit Andhare said to media,“There are no external distributors, it's being distributed by V18Studios, and no money is lost in the first place. The film is still running in theaters both in India and internationally. This is baseless speculation.”

Laal Singh Chaddha, which was helmed by Advait Chandan, is the official Hindi adaptation of Tom Hanks' Forrest Gump (1994). Kareena Kapoor, Mona Singh, and Naga Chaitanya are also featured in the film.
