Legendary Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan is regarded as one of the most influential actors in the history of Indian cinema. During the 1970s–1980s, he was the most dominant actor in the Indian movie scene; and one of his most memorable films is Don (1978).

The film has got cult status and was also remade in 2006 with Shah Rukh Khan reprising the role of Bachchan.

Recently, Amitabh took a walk down the memory lane and shared a vintage monochrome picture of mile-long queues outside movie theatres, when Don was up for release in cinemas. The megastar also recalled the good old days when he delivered 5 blockbusters in one year.

Sharing the picture, he wrote, “Advance booking of my film DON .. ! And they said .. THEY .. that the queues were a mile long... released in 1978... 44 years!! AND these also released same year : DON, Kasme Vaade, Trishul, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, Ganga Ki Saugandh.. 5 Blockbusters in one year !!... some of them ran more than 50 weeks ..Kya din the wo bhi !!”

On the professional front, Amitabh Bachchan has an exciting slate of projects lined up. He'll be next seen in Ayan Mukerji’s mythological fantasy drama Brahmastra, co-starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and Mouni Roy.

Besides, Bachchan has also committed to star in Goodbye with Rashmika Mandanna. He will also reunite with his Piku (2015) co-star Deepika Padukone for the remake of The Intern.
