Kriti Sanon on doing different films, says, ‘I don’t want to repeat myself, an actor should have a mixed bag of films’

The actress, who is well known for her roles in the movies Mimi and Bareilly Ki Barfi, is excited about the versatility of her upcoming film releases. She will appear in three films in 2023: the family entertainer Shehzada; the mythological epic Adipurush; and the suspense thriller Ganapath. Kriti Sanon, who plays a diva in Shehzada and performs "messy" action scenes, claims that as an actor, she wants to do it all and not be restricted to a particular genre.

She says, "An actor should always have a diverse range of films. I don't want to limit myself to merely acting in or picking out movies with strong parts that fall on my shoulders. I don't want to flow and live in a box. I want to connect with various audiences. Personally, I enjoy seeing a variety of movies. Therefore, I don't want to keep doing the same thing; instead, I want to adapt to different worlds.

Shehzada

Samara, a character played by Kriti Sanon in the movie Shehzada, is a lawyer who she describes as being headstrong and independent. Shehzada, Kriti Sanon's first movie to be released in 2023, is a perfect package of emotion, romance, and action, the actress remarked. The 2020 Telugu blockbuster Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, starring Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde, is remade in Hindi with Kartik Aaryan playing the lead character. Following the success of their 2019 hit Luka Chuppi, Sanon and Aaryan have teamed up once again for the Hindi remake, directed by Rohit Dhawan.
