The short film, which was written and directed by Prayrit Seth, stars Kirti as a woman who is stranded in her home during the Covid-19 lockdown, struggling with loneliness and insomnia while yearning for resolution.
On Saturday, the short film "Rest Of The Night," starring actor Kirti Kulhari, will be available on the streaming service Disney+ Hotstar.
The short film, which was written and directed by Prayrit Seth, stars Kirti as a woman who is stranded in her home during the Covid-19 lockdown, struggling with loneliness and insomnia while yearning for resolution.
She claims: "Rest of the Night is about remaining emotionally and mentally immobile. Relationships are key. How do they give us so much while still taking so much away? It's the tale of a woman who is unable to get over anything and go on. The importance of maintaining one's mental health and of expressing and sharing your emotions are both emphasised in the movie.
Kirti also stated, "I enjoy playing difficult characters because they're so interesting. As an actor, I'm constantly looking for new ways to challenge myself and delve deeper with my work."
On December 10, Disney+ will release "Rest Of The Night."
The project was also co-produced by Kirti under her production company, Kintsukuroi Films. Prashant Dandekar, the film's cinematographer, shot it in black and white. The "Four More Shorts Please" actress published a promo for her new film on Instagram on Wednesday.For her upcoming feature film "Nayeka," Kirti will be seen donning the producer's hat.
