The advance booking for KGF 2 (Hindi version) started at limited centres on Thursday noon and the response is generated has been awe-inspiring.
The much-awaited film, starring Kannada superstar Yash, recorded houseful shows in no time as soon as the booking started across the nation. The craze for the film is such that just within 12 hours, KGF 2 sold approximately 1.07 lakh tickets in the Hindi belt grossing a total of Rs 3.35 crore (Rs 2.83 crore nett).
Delhi was leading the advance booking spree with ticket sales in the range of Rs 75 lakh. The national capital was followed closely by Mumbai where the collection was approximately Rs 60 lakh. Besides the two metropolis, centres like Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Pune and Surat, have also witnessed booking of over Rs 10 lakh each in just 12 hours.
With such a frenzy surrounding the film, we can only imagine the scenario once full-fledged advance booking starts from Sunday.
Written and directed by Prashanth Neel, and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner Hombale Films, KGF chapter 2 is the second instalment of the two-part series is a sequel to the 2018 film K.G.F: Chapter 1. The film stars Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty, Raveena Tandon and Prakash Raj.
The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on 14 April 2022 in Kannada along with the dubbed versions of Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam languages.
