In actuality, Katrina was the first Indian actress to be made into a Barbie doll back then. She wore a pink dress created by designer Nishka Lulla.

At the celebration held to honour Barbie's 50th birthday, Katrina Kaif reportedly came out on top as the winner of the contest for the greatest Barbie attire. Later, the American toymaker company Mattel recognised Katrina Kaif by using her as the model for a unique Barbie doll. The doll was attired in Kaif's 2009 distinctive look.
