One of the most iconic and recognizable characters from Kareena Kapoor Khan's career is the obnoxious Poo from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001). Even after 21 years since the film's release, the Bollywood diva herself finds it incredible that the role is still loved across all age groups.
In addition to having a distinctive sense of style, Kareena's character Poo is also well known for her one-liners. "Kaun hai yeh jisne dobara mudke mujhe nahi dekha," "P.H.A.T - Pretty, Hot And Tempting," and "Tumhe koi haq nahi banta ki tum itni khoobsurat lago NOT FAIR" among a plethora of others.
When asked in conversation if she thinks Poo deserves her own movie, Kareena responded, "Oh God! Like I think now this character is so relevant with this generation more than it was then."
With her sister played by Kajol and her brother-in-law portrayed by Shah Rukh Khan, the character, who is from Chandni Chowk in New Delhi, moves to London. Kareena explains why the character has such a large fan base.
The actress concluded by saying, "I think for the way she is, the way she talks, the kind of millennial Gen-Z kinda words that she uses connect somehow. So, I think it is because of that more than anything else. Let's see a film someday, who knows."
Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor was recently seen in Laal Singh Chaddha, released on August 11.
