The sports drama ‘83 (2022), starring Ranveer Singh, is back in the spotlight after being released on OTT platforms. The film is based on Kapil Dev's captaincy of the Indian national cricket team at the 1983 Cricket World Cup, and Ranveer Singh plays the role of Kapil Dev whereas his wife Deepika Padukone played the role of Kapil Dev’s wife, Romi Bhatia in the film. However, the second time was far more emotional. He expressed his surprise that their life had been depicted so wonderfully on Screen. He had always considered Bhaag Milkha Bhaag to be the perfect sports movie, but he was deeply moved by ‘83.

He went on to say that he walked out of the theatre for the third time. He remembers how he couldn't stop crying the second time he saw the movie. He also stated that he would not be able to see it again.”How long can you remember your childhood memories?,” he said. Especially when you are with your teammates, you are reminded of all the things you did. Characters were changed, scenes were changed, but the story wasn't changed."
