Kangana Ranaut, who is frequently the center of controversy, is currently involved in another unpleasant dispute. It's with Filmfare magazine this time. Thalaivii (2021) star Kangana Ranaut, who was just nominated for the Best Actress Filmfare Award, called the publication "unethical" and threatened legal action since it "forced her to attend the function." Following a prompt response, Filmfare has decided to withdraw the nomination.
Filmfare has responded in a long statement that read, “As is customary during the awards, Filmfare’s Executive Editor informed Ms. Ranaut about her nomination in the Best Actor in a Leading Role, Female category and asked for her address to send across the invitation.”
Clarifying that they had only followed protocol, the magazine requested the address of the National Award winner in order to send her the official invitation. There being "no implication" that she was receiving an award or that she was being asked to perform, the magazine emphasized its "transparency" while making this claim.
They took back her nomination as well. “Given the irresponsible remarks made by Ms. Ranaut about Filmfare Awards, we are withdrawing her Best Actress nomination for the movie Thalaivii. We reserve all rights to pursue any legal action against her malicious and defamatory statements tarnishing our reputation and goodwill,” they added.
