Kajol rents out Powai apartment for a staggering ₹90,000 per month

After Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, and Saif Ali Khan, Kajol is the latest Bollywood celebrity who has rented out one of her real-estate properties. The actress, who is celebrating 20 years of her iconic film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), has rented out her apartment in Powai, Mumbai.

A publication reports that the said apartment is located on the 21st floor of the Atlantis project in Hiranandani Gardens in Powai and spreads out to 771 square feet. The leave and license agreement were registered on December 3.

As per the documents accessed by the publication, the tenant has paid a security deposit of ₹3 lakh. The rent of the property is reportedly ₹90,000, which will be revised to ₹96,750 a month after one year.

Kajol, who was last seen in Netflix’s Tribhanga (2021), currently lives with her husband Ajay Devgn and two children in a sprawling bungalow in Juhu, one of the prime locations in the city of Mumbai. Several leading Bollywood stars, including Hrithik Roshan, Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, and Shilpa Shetty live close by.

Ajay Devgn bought the Juhu bungalow for approximately ₹60 crores. Named Shivshakti, the bungalow spreads across 590 square yards and is close to Devgn’s existing bungalow, Shakti. The superstar and the previous owner of the house, late Pushpa Valia, finalised the deal in November 2020 but the property transfer was done on May 7, 2021.

On the work front, Kajol next stars in the upcoming film The Last Hurrah, directed by actress-turned-filmmaker Revathy. Inspired by a true story and real characters, the film will go before cameras soon.
