Shweta Bachchan said maybe it is for the ease of the movement. It is easier to move in these clothes as compared to a saree. Many women who go to the office do not appear at home only. These clothes provide ease for donning them and a comfort level for women that it takes time to drape the saree, and at the workplace, it can make them uncomfortable to them depending upon their work.
She says that she feels that it happened unknowingly, that western clothing is more suitable and gives manpower to a woman. She would love to see the power of women. She exclaimed that she does not interpret that she thinks women should wear saree. According to her, in western countries, women also choose a dress to wear. Later, they started wearing pants and western outfits themselves.
