Janhvi Kapoor has spoken up about how her mother Sridevi's death influenced her brother Arjun Kapoor and sister Anshula. After Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor lost their mother, Arjun and Anshula gave them support.
Boney Kapoor's children from his previous marriage to Mona Shourie are Arjun and Anshula. After his divorce with Mona, he married actress Sridevi and had two daughters with her, Janhvi and Khushi.
Arjun and Anshula took on new roles of support in Janhvi and Khushi's life after Sridevi's death in 2018. The four have built a deep friendship over the last few years, despite the fact that they rarely used to meet before.
Janhvi has now opened up about what it's like to have two older siblings at such a late age. She said in an interview, “I think having Arjun Bhaiyya and Anshula Didi as a part of our lives has made us more secure and stronger individuals. For the lack of a better word, I feel more wholesome. At a later stage in life, we got two more siblings. I don’t know who else can say that and I think that I’m extremely lucky and it doesn’t get better than that.”
She also highlighted how Boney manages to be a single father to his children. “I think it’s new for papa but honestly, he’s become more of a friend to us than anything else and I think our relationship has become more honest and transparent. I don’t know, I think that it’s a very functional ecosystem, at least that’s how I feel about my relationship with my dad. I think the four of us each have very different individual relations with him. I like that me and him feel like a team and I like that he’s my best friend,” said the Dhadak (2018) actress.
On the work front, Janhvi will be seen in the upcoming film Good Luck Jerry. Khushi will make her acting debut in Zoya Akhtar's The Archies.
