Jaane Jaan: Kareena Kapoor FONDLY Recalls Her DREAM As A Little Girl While Exploring Film Sets With Karisma Kapoor

Kareena Kapoor is one of Bollywood's most successful and influential actresses. She has been in several famous and memorable films during her two-decade career. As a child, she would accompany her elder sister, Karisma Kapoor, to film shoots and meet stars such as Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan.

Kareena revealed her childhood visits to movie sets with her sister Karisma in an interview. She stated, “She (Karisma) would be shooting with Shah Rukh or Salman and Aamir. So, it was just like a little girl’s dream watching from afar." Bebo also talked about how times have changed since then. “Today… it’s like everything’s out there. You know, in those days, it was not about the paps or how you looked or where you went or what you did or, you know, like which restaurant you ate at. And it was never… it was always about… it was more humane in some way," she added.

Kareena was sent to Welham Girls' School, a boarding school in Dehradun, when she was a child. Even during the winter, students were required to wake up at 5:45 a.m. and take cold showers. She stated, “It just kind of prepares you for like the gruelling stuff. I think it just actually prepared me for all these gruelling shoots that now I do."

Kareena was most recently seen in the 2022 film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha,’ opposite Aamir Khan. The movie received largely positive reviews but bombed at the box office. She is currently preparing for her OTT debut feature, ‘Jaane Jaan.’ Based on Keigo Higashino's 2005 Japanese novel, The Devotion of Suspect X, the film also stars Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat. It will be available on September 21st. She will also appear in Hansal Mehta's thriller ‘The Buckingham Murders,’ as well as ‘The Crew,’ in which she will co-star with Tabu, Kriti Sanon, and Diljit Dosanjh.
