After winning our hearts as Sachivji a.k.a. Abhishek Tripathi in Amazon Prime series Panchayat (2020), Jitendra Kumar will next be seen in Jaadugar. In the upcoming Netflix film, the actor will portray a small-town magician. The film will premiere on the OTT platform on July 15 and is directed by Sameer Sazena and written by Biswapati Sarkar.

Taking to Instagram, Netflix India shared a teaser of the film and wrote, "Deviyon aur sajjanon, taaliyon ke saath swagat kariye, Neemuch ke pyaare Jaadugar ka. Apna jaadu le kar aa rahe hai 15th July ko, only on Netflix!"

Jaadugar, set in a football-loving town, tells the story of Meenu, a small-time magician with little athletic ability who must show his value in a famous inter-colony football competition in order to marry his true love.

The film is produced by Posham Pa Pictures and directed by Sameer Saxena, who is recognised for his work on famous shows including Yeh Meri Family (2018), Permanent Roommates (2014), and TVF Tripling (2018). It also stars Jaaved Jaaferi and Arushi Sharma.

The team's goal, according to Saxena, is to give a different take on sports and romance. "With magic as another key element in the film, we have tried to tell a story that's high on entertainment and caters to an extremely wide audience. With Netflix as our partner, we hope that the love with which we have made the film translates on screens across the globe," said the director.
