Tara Sutaria is one of the most loved actresses of Bollywood. Her surreal looks and charming personality has captured the hearts of the audience. From appearing in a Disney channel show to being one of the most adored actresses of Bollywood, she has come a long way. Tara who recently starred alongside Ahan Shetty in the 2021 film Tadap, has been cast in yet another intriguing project. The 26-year old actress has been cast as the main lead in Murad Khetani's Apurva.
Tara is anticipated to try her hand at a female-driven film. While there were rumours that the film will star Kiara Advani, it appears that Tara Sutaria has joined the cast of Apurva. The film is intended to be an adrenaline-pumping thriller that follows a woman's day in her life, according to a source. Although further information about the film is presently being kept under wraps, we do know that it will be a low-budget production.
Surprisingly, this will be Tara Sutaria's first time doing a woman-centric project. According to reports, Kiara Advani was hesitant to sign another woman-centric film back-to-back because she is also set to star in Ashutosh Gowariker's Karram Kurram, which is based on the story of women who run India's most famous papad firm, Lijjat.
For the unversed, back in 2019, Tara Sutaria was the first choice for the character of Preeti in Shahid Kapoor starrer Kabir Singh (2019). However, owing to a shortage of dates, she had to drop out of the film because she was filming her debut movie, Student Of The Year 2 (2019) at the time. The character was then taken over by Kiara Advani who didn’t fail to do justice to it.
