As you read this, the IIFA Awards 2023 are in progress. To celebrate the greatest awards night, the International Indian Film Academy Awards, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Kamal Haasan, Sara Ali Khan, Vicky Kaushal, and other celebrities have flown to Yas Island, Abu Dhabi in Dubai. The IIFA 2023 night has been nothing but a spectacle, featuring electrifying performances by Kriti Sanon, Varun Dhawan, and other celebrities. Vicky is hosting the event and providing entertainment alongside Abhishek Bachchan, Farah Khan, and Rajkummar Rao. At the same time, honourable nominees are receiving various prestigious prizes.

Many other honours, including Best Music Director and Best Playback, have also been given out tonight. Babil Khan, the son of the late Irrfan Khan, as well as Shantanu Maheshwari, Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal, and others. A number of films, including ‘Brahmastra’, ‘Qala’, ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, and others, won top awards at the prestigious IIFA Awards in 2023. Best Performance in a Leading Role: Alia Bhatt for ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’.

Best Director: R Madhavan for ‘Rocketry The Nambi Effect’

Best Performance in a Supporting Role (Male): Anil Kapoor for ‘Jugg Jug Jeeyo’.

Outstanding Achievement in Indian Cinema: Kamal Haasan

Best Story Adapted: Aamil Keeyan Khan for ‘Drishyam 2’.

Best Story (Original): Parveez Shaikh and Jasmeet K Reen for ‘Darlings’.

Best Lyrics: Amitabh Bhattacharya for ‘Kesariya’ from ‘Brahmastra - Part One: Shiva’ starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.

Best Music Director Pritam for ‘Brahmastra - Part One: Shiva’.

Best Playback Female: Shreya Ghoshal for ‘Rasiya’ from ‘Brahmastra - Part One: Shiva’.

Best Debut Female: Khushali Kumar for ‘Dhokha: Round D Corner’.

Best Debut Male is a tie between Shantanu Maheshwari and Babil Khan for ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ and ‘Qala’.

Outstanding Achievement in Regional Cinema: Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza for ‘Ved’.

Best Singer Male: Arijit Singh for his performance of ‘Kesariya’ from the Alia and Ranbir-starring Ayan Mukerji film ‘Brahmastra’. The prize was accepted by none other than music director Pritam since Arijit Singh wasn't home.

Aamil Keeyan Khan and Abhishek Pathan for ‘Drishyam 2’ starring Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Tabu, and Akshaye Khanna won the award for Best Adapted Story. Abhishek wasn't there, so his father, Kumar Mangat Pathak, accepted the prize on his behalf. Such a happy day for the father.

Kamal Haasan was presented with the Outstanding Achievement in Indian Cinema award by AR Rahman.

The Outstanding Achievement for Fashion in Cinema award went to Manish Malhotra.
